Join us on this episode, as we talk with Shawn Ryan, CSU, Chico’s Coordinator of Orientation and New Student Programs. Our discussion with Shawn helps provide insights to what happened this past year, what is happening now and what is in store for the upcoming year.
Shawn Ryan serves as Coordinator at Chico State Orientation and New Student Programs. He has been a part of the Chico State community for a little over a year, but was serving in a similar role at Sacramento State for 7 years. Shawn served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force immediately after high school and earned his bachelor’s degree at Oklahoma State University with the financial assistance form the GI Bill. He has a Master’s Degree in counseling from Kansas State University and taught English for 2 years as a member of the Peace Corps in the Republic of Moldova. Shawn loves working in higher education and supporting first-generation students in the transition to college and transforming their life through a college degree.
