Come One Come All – Community Building with Student Life & Leadership

Formal education, or a systematic structured form of learning in classrooms, is far from the only way students engage with learning. What happens outside the classroom is vital to student, campus, & community growth. On this episode we had the opportunity to talk with staff from Chico State’s Student Life & Leadership. Our conversation highlights some of the work being done on and off campus to enhance student learning and community building.

Our Guests

Kendra Wright

Kendra is a Chico State graduate for both her undergraduate and graduate degree. After leaving Chico State, she spent 6 years in San Diego in corporate Human Resources. Soon enough she realized she wanted to give back to the Wildcat community so in 2009 she joined Chico State as a Career Counselor in the Career Center and in 2019 she joined Student Life and Leadership as a Program Coordinator for Student Organizations.

Bri Seiders

Bri Seiders is a 4th year student at Chico State majoring in Recreation Hospitality and Parks Management with a double option in Event Management and Resort/Lodging Management. Throughout her time here in Chico, she has had the opportunity to work with many different departments on campus including International Admission, Orientation and New Student Programs, and now Student Organizations and Leadership Education! After graduation, her plan is to stay at Chico for another year and working or applying to a graduate program here. She is extremely grateful for the people she has met and the experiences she’s had in Chico, she wouldn’t change it for anything!
