Land Acknowledgement
We acknowledge and are mindful that CSU, Chico stands on lands that were originally occupied by the first people of this area, and we recognize the Mechoopda and their distinctive spiritual relationship with this land and the waters that run through campus. We are humbled that our campus resides upon sacred lands that once sustained the Mechoopda people for centuries and continue to do so today.

Faculty and staff in higher education focus much of their energy on current students, campus situations, budgets, and other topics that impact the daily goings-on. Meanwhile life as we know it, is not all about universities or colleges. One community outside of higher education is that of young people; more specifically young people in the Sacramento area. Sacramento is home to 123,258 people under the age of 19. And one organization dedicated to nurturing positivity and empowering young people is Alliance for Education Solutions (AES). On this episode we talk with one of the co-founders to hear about the evolution and mission of AES as well as what is happening today for the non-profit and young people in the Sacramento area.
CC is a retired Staff member who worked at Chico State 37 years Co-Founder of the non-Profit the Alliance for Education Solutions. In addition CC is a Father, Friend, Husband and a Man of Faith.
