Supporting Those Who Work to Feed Others

When it comes to the students who will be our future farmers, plant scientists, or veterinarians, Chico State makes sure they feel supported on their way to graduation and well into their careers! Today we learn from Denise Crosswhite, and Lindsey Jeffery about success efforts and resources available to students, faculty, and staff in the College of Agriculture. Denise Crosswhite 

Chico State has been her home for the past 20 years. She has earned two degrees from Chico. A BA in Organizational Communication, with a minor is Leadership and a Master’s in Social Science with an emphasis on Career and Life Planning. She has been fortunate to work at her alma mater for the past 16 years and is currently serving as the College of Agriculture’s College Advising and Retention Specialist. As a first-generation college student, Denise is passionate about engaging students and providing them the valuable resources available for their success! 

Lindsey Jefferey

Lindsey Jeffery is the Student Success and Retention Support Specialist in the College of Agriculture. She was born and raised in Chico, California and attended Butte Community College and transferred to the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota. Lindsey moved back to beautiful Chico and pursued her Masters of Education at Chico State. Her overall goal is to support underrepresented students in higher education.
